Faviola Gomez

Faviola Gomez is from Harrah, WA and is majoring in Strategic Communication with a minor in Comparative Ethnic Studies. Her primary role is as the project manager of Kush Kafe. Faviola will be graduating in May 2018 and plans to work for a non-profit organization after graduating. She plans to start her career working in a non-profit organization before relocating to Seattle. Two skills that Faviola brings to the table is that she restorative and initiative. One of her favorite quotes is by Maya Angelou,“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”
 

Amoje Moody

This is Amoje Moody. He’s a Communication major with a specialization in public relations. Amoje was born and raised in Tacoma Washington. His primary role as a team member in the Kush Kafe group is writing and editing. He will be aiding in the construction of our identity through blogs, social media posts and more. He’s most excited about seeing how far our team can develop the business model and visual identity of Kush Kafe as well as becoming a digital marketing expert through this course. He’s also excited about becoming more well versed as an editor and writer, as well as becoming a better team member and creative overall. He aspires to be an entrepreneur. He wants to manage his own global radio company, own multiple businesses including fashion, barbershops and more. Amoje is passionate about becoming a profitable investor and create successful business ventures and opportunities for people in his community. Some of his best qualities are being able to work with a diverse group of people and contribute his own personal twist to a project. Amoje is creative, understanding, a great team member, and has unique experience and skills he can contribute to any team at any capacity. A quote that resonates with Amoje is from the one and only Kanye West that reads, “reach for the stars so if you fall you land in the clouds.”

Katherine Schleg

Katherine is the creative director of Kush Kafe, responsible for overseeing all advertising and creative works within the company. She is currently a junior at Washington State University and is double majoring in digital technology and culture as well as strategic communications. Growing up she has always had a passion for all things aesthetic and creative so when given the opportunity to work with building the branding and advertising, she jumped at the chance. Her attention to detail and keeping a cohesive tone to all visuals along with her knowledge of Adobe software makes her excel in the creative director role. Katherine’s work ethic is driven by the following quote by Dwayne “the rock” Johnson, “Be humble. Be hungry. And be the hardest worker in the room.”
 

David Fraser

David Fraser is from Fife, Washington and came into Washington State University with a pretty set career goal. He is currently a junior majoring in Strategic Communication and is minoring in Business Administration, with focuses on advertising and marketing. As the Social Media Manager at Kush Kafe, he is primarily responsible for making our business presence known on the internet. This role fits David because he is also currently the Director of Marketing for the Student Entertainment Board, where he is in charge of promoting over 200 events throughout the year through various media channels. He’s most excited to see how he can translate the social media skills he’s acquired through the Student Entertainment Board position to this role and how effective these skills can be with a new business. David is looking forward to learning the smaller and unique digital marketing techniques to expand a brand past the basic tactics. After graduation, he hopes to work within the film industry as a creative advertising lead or associate. Specifically, David’s dream job is to work alongside Washington State alum John Ibsen, creative lead for Walt Disney Studios. With his big goals, comes a strong drive to work hard throughout his four years at WSU. His motivation and willingness to look at things from different perspectives will contribute to the team when making decisions regarding Kush Kafe’s public relations. A quote that resonates with David is "If you're the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room."
